My name is Youssef, and I grew up in the Sahara desert here in Merzouga. As a Berber, or Amazigh, the desert has always been my home, my playground and my teacher. I know the dunes, the stars and the quiet desert paths better than anything else.
I have worked in tourism in Merzouga for many years, guiding guests on desert tours, camel rides and trips to our luxury camps. What I enjoy most is meeting new people from around the world and giving them a warm and authentic experience in the Sahara. I love showing visitors the places I grew up with, sharing Berber culture and making sure everyone feels welcome and safe.
